Climate

In Australia it is possible to spend Christmas at the beach or to go skiing in August because the Australia climate is the opposite of the northern hemisphere. The summer start December; autumn in March, winter in June and spring in September. Average the temperature ranges from 23 to 26 degrees.

Geography

Australia is the sixth largest country of the world. The coastline consisting of tranquil bays, wonderful beaches. It is bounded by the dark blue waters for example: of pacific Ocean to the east Arafura Sea to the north. Australia occupies one of the oldest landmasses and the flattest of all continents. The highest point is on the Mount Kosciuszko in 2.228 metres height.

Language

In Australia English is the official language.

Education

The first school in Australia was set up in Sydney. The oldest university of Sydney was established in 1850. Secondary schooling begins at the age of twelve and students have the choice of leaving school at 15 or continuing on to 17 or 18 to seek a certificate qualifying them for entry into university or a college of future education.
