I want to speak about Australia. It's the smallest continent, but the biggest Island on earth. It's twice as large as West-Europe. Australia is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations since the beginning of the Commonwealth. All state capital cities are built on or very near the water, even Canberra. Australia is the world biggest producers of minerals and metals, but there are chemicals, plastics, export of wool, wheat, meat and shipbuilding, too. The capital is Canberra, but the biggest city is Sydney. Sydney is the oldest city in Australia. The most people are British. The hottest time are the winter and the coldest are summer. When there are winter, than here are summer. It's a very warm climate, Sydneysiders spend much of their free time at one of their 30 beaches, watersports are very popular. The Sydeney Tower is the tallest building south of the Equator. The Opera House in Sydney is very famous. The Olympic years took place this year in Sydney. The Aussies are very active.
