2. In chapter 2 Orwell makes frequent use of symbolism. Analyse the meaning of the thrush and one or two other relevant symbols used in the part about "the Golden Country". Explain the meaning of the chosen symbols in the context of the novel!
3. Orwell has placed major emphasis on the character of Julia. Evaluate her own statement that she`s "not clever". (Support your opinion by referring to the text or by giving examples.)
