The Book "A Child Called 'it'" by Dave Pelzer is an autobiography. It's the first part of a trilogy and this story really happened to Dave Pelzer. The book is published by Orion Media in 2000 and it's an international bestseller. It's about an abused boy's childhood. The main characters are Dave and his mother. Dave grows up like every normal child until his emotionally unstable mother, who also is addicted to alcohol, begins to torture her son. Dave always tries to be a good boy, but there is no chance for him, to become a "good boy".
When Dave is a small boy, he, his brothers and his parents were a happy family. In one chapter is described what they did in their holidays and free-time.
